It Goes

Just some quick updates on things...

  1. The job search continues.

  2. I'm going to be visiting Missoula for a couple weeks, starting next Wed. (20th). I plan to enjoy myself and to keep job thoughts to a minimum.

  3. I'm prepping the soil in a long, skinny garden bed that hasn't been used for years. Monday, it will become a small kitchen garden that's a cooperative venture between me, my mom, my brother, and my 6-year-old nephew.

  4. I've been reading: In Defense of Food, Ominvore's Dilemma, The Shack, Widow for a Year, Animal Vegetable Miracle, Harry Potter (yes, again), Boy in Striped Pajamas, Atlas Shrugged, and some articles on information literacy)

  5. I've been knitting more baby blankets.

  6. I have beads to play with, but haven't decided what to do. They may come to MT with me, where I'm sure they will be joined by others (since I can take advantage of the THREE cool bead stores there).

  7. Callie is enjoying the many patches of sunshine, and the fountain that she's turned into her drinking fountain.

  8. I may be volunteering at a local museum when I come back from MT.

Albuquerque

I'm back from LOEX. It was a good conference, and probably a good introduction to library conferences, since it's not as huge as ALA. Here are a few photos I took, for your viewing pleasure...
This is a view from my hotel (not the conference hotel) of the downtown skyline.
This is a view of Route 66 from the hotel. If you look, you can see the Route 66 markers along the road.
This is one of many little plaza areas in Old Town. It's the old part of the city, and full of restaurants, shops, museums, etc.
